Staviću i ovde, koga ne mrzi da čita, mene mrzi opet da prevodim:
Its not to extreeme upgrade like 280mm because when winter comes, you can still fit 14 inch rims over calipers. (`13 wont fit)
Parts you will need:
1. Spindles X2
2. Bearings X2
3. Brake calipers X2
4. Caliper carriers X2
5. 256mm Discs X2
6. Box of pads
7. 22mm Master cylinder
8. 0,7L of brake fluid.
9. Caliper/Piston seals (If you want to rebuild them too)
This is how it looks disassembled:

First thing to remove is 30mm central (drivE shaft nut) on both sides. Than lift the car and unbolt wheels.
You probably have one of these:

Then, remove the old caliper, brake pads and disc...
I have not took a picture of this important part because my hand were greasy ( was working alone this time ) ... in basics, you have to get rid of old spindles!
They are holding on few places:
1. Two bolts on shock absorber
2. One down that sitting on control arm
3. And one holding for tie rod
When all these are removed it should slide from drivE shaft. (If you have not forgot to remove the 30mm central nut before :D )
This is a photo from web, how 8 valver spindle looks when removed:

And you can see three spots where it holds for a car.
Now, the easier part - put the "new" spindle back on car -
slide the spindle on drivE shaft first and after that do the other three places that connects spindle for a car.
This is how it looks, notice the difference between old and new spindle (8v and 16v) the old one have casted caliper carrier to spindle, and new have caliper carrier separated:

After that, first thing on list is brake disc:

And caliper carrier:

Pads...

And caliper:

Now, remove 20mm master cylinder and refit 22mm.
Its easy if you
not removing the brake booster. (mine was dead) :

When doing all this, you will probably have problems with rusty brake lines like I did. I suggest buying new copper lines somewhere:

Now, fill the oil reservoir with some fresh brake fluid, undo the bleeding nut, sit and watch how bubbles go out, its very relaxing :D :

And its the best and easiest way to bleed air from brake system, just time consuming.

In case you want to rebuild the calipers too, ( I suggest to do so) here is some advice for that.
Use the compressed air to free the piston from caliper, but be VERY careful to not kill yourself! If not sure, use the bicycle pump =))
When the piston is down, use the opportunity to remove rust and to repaint calipers...
When packing all back together with new rubber seals, fit the outer rubber seal on piston
first (smaller one is inside of a caliper already) and than easily fit the outer rubber seal in caliper:

After that slide the piston with your hands inside, using some tools from neolithic age:
Double check every nut and bold you removed and refitted!!!Here how it looks finished:

For this upgrade you can use parts from this VAGs:
Mk2 16v, G60, B3 1.8/2.0 (Both 8v and 16v), B4 8v, 16v, TDI, Mk3 GTI/TDI, Seats Ibiza and Toledo 2.0 8v and 16v and probably some TDIs...
Spindles, caliper carriers, calipers and master cylinder - 80€
Bearings - 20€
Discs - 40€
Brake pads - 40€
Rubber seals - 6€
Brake fluid - 6€
Brake lines - 15€
I found this upgrade interesting, its like playing with LEGO. Most important, if you want to go more - you can, you just need 280mm discs and caliper carriers from G60 or ABF or B4 TDI.
Everything else stays.
