The radio RCD 300 switches itself on and runs for an hour. This can happen several times.
Technical background
Because of corrosion on a switching contact in the CD d rive, the d rive by mistake recognises the insertion of a CD.
Production change
Improved contacts from 02.2005.
Measure
Ask the customer to keep a CD in the radio. As a result, the switch contact stays permanently open and the radio doesn’t switch itself on any more.

Because of humidity and dirt the CD d rive recognises by mistake that a CD has been selected and switches the radio on. By leaving a CD in the d rive the unintentional switching on of the radio can be avoided.
